PSO presents "Stars of the Silver Screen"
The Peterborough Symphony Orchestra will transport its audiences back in time to the transformative era of the 1960’s. Music Director, Michael Newnham, has curated a hit list of fabulous film scores from iconic movies like Pink Panther, Mission Impossible, The Sound of Music, and, of course, James Bond. There will be so much more!
Due to the popularity of our film score events, the PSO will hold two concerts at Showplace on Saturday, February 7 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, February 8th at 3 p.m. Consider arriving 45 minutes early for Maestro Newnham’s pre-concert talk and get a sneak peek of what you will hear.
To help set the mood, audience members are encouraged to dress in their favourite ‘60’s style. Will it be the Jackie Kennedy look, mini-skirt, slim-cut suit, 007 attitude, go-go boots, geometric patterns or hippie fringe and headbands? We can’t wait to see!
Visit https://thepso.org/stars-of-the-silver-screen where you can purchase tickets and check out Maestro Newnham’s curated Spotify playlist to get you in the mood for this concert.
More information is available at www.thepso.org. Contact the PSO at 705-742-1992.
