Annual Hometown Peterborough The Bowie Lives Showplace Dec 6 2025
Dec 6 2025
We're especially thrilled to be joined by singing sensation, Marsala Lukianchuk, as our Annie Lennox; she was our very first Annie! (Picture attached from 2020!) Whether singing with her jazz, rock, or Irish folk bands, or acting on stage or screen, Marsala’s passion is in story-telling. You may have seen her recently perform as the Witch in Into the Woods, or as Reno Sweeney in Anything Goes. She is thrilled to play a small part in bringing the story of David Bowie to the Showplace stage where she will transform into Annie Lennox while performing the iconic hit, UNDER PRESSURE with Michael Bell and the 8 piece stellar band. www.facebook.com/MarsalaLukianchukMusic
The Bowie Lives is a musical tribute to the legendary David Bowie, led by Canadian performer Michael Bell. Bell is known for his uncanny ability to emulate Bowie’s vocal style and stage presence, earning acclaim
for his dedication to authenticity and detail.
The show celebrates Bowie’s career, featuring ionic hits like Space Oddity, Heroes, and Let’s Dance.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GcjjUehwk7E
Michael Bell has been praised for his interpretation of Bowie’s music and his theatrical delivery, making the experience more than just a concert-it’s a vivid recreation of Bowie’s artistic spirit. The tribute band also incorporates Bowie’s flamboyant costumes, intricate arrangements, and multimedia visuals to capture the essence of his legendary performances.
Michael discovered Bowie as a teen and performed songs with a number of his early bands. By the ‘80s his first theatrical production “ChangesAllBowie” toured the “A circuit” before hanging up his “Ziggy” in the early ‘90s. Decades passed. After David’s untimely death on January 10 2016, Michael’s calling returned; his calling to honour the man who helped shape his life.
“5 Stars! Unbelievable! I could have watched them for two more hours!” says Richard Crouse, Host of CTV PopLife.
“ By far, the best & coolest Bowie Tribute I’ve seen!” says Sam Grosso of Cadillac Productions.
“As close as it gets!” says MusikMirage
The Bowie Lives PRE-SHOW includes the Bowie Bazaar; T-shirts, collectables, LP’s and DVD’s and more.
Come in costume dressed as your favourite David, or wear your favourite swag and be rewarded!
Don’t forget to grab a button!
Michael is also the subject of an upcoming documentary film “Being David Bowie” and web-series “The Bowie Lives.”
