🐾✨ Y91.9 Pet of the Week: Meet Lady! ✨🐾
Lady is a girl who has seen some tough times… but she’s finally learning that life can be pretty wonderful.
This beautiful 3-year-old Shepherd mix is believed to have spent more than two weeks on the run before she was finally brought to safety. When Lady arrived at the Humane Society of Kawartha Lakes, she was terrified. She didn’t trust people, she didn’t want anyone near her, and even the simplest things about being in a home were completely unfamiliar.
But little by little, Lady is learning. ❤️
Thanks to a patient foster home, she’s discovering walks, toys, household noises, new people — and one of her personal favourites: WATER. Get this girl in the water and apparently the zoomies are ON. 😂💦
And those walls are slowly coming down. Lady is now choosing to approach people for a curious little sniff — something that might seem small, but for this sweet girl is a HUGE step forward.
Lady still needs time and patience, so her perfect family will be one that lets her build confidence at her own pace. A home with a calm, easy-going dog would also be wonderful, since her foster sibling has helped show her that the world isn’t such a scary place.
Lady has spent enough time running.
Now she deserves a place to call home. 🏡❤️
